How Did the Byzantine Empire Revive the Roman Empire and Create a Legacy of Its Own?

How Did the Byzantine Empire Revive the Roman Empire and Create a Legacy of Its Own?The Roman Empire was one of the largest in the history of the world and is perhaps best known for its successes in conquering new lands. However, the empire's greatness was built on its massive losses in battles. The Roman Empire's collapse was directly related to a single fact: most of the core of the Roman military had been wiped out in wars with other tribes. When the last of these tribes was defeated, the only Roman military force left was the emperor himself. Emperor Hadrian wanted to restore the Roman military to full strength, but he also wanted to establish a new legacy for his people. It wasn't until the time of Emperor Hadrian, that the Roman Empire began to make attempts to recreate itself. Hadrian's reconstruction of the Roman military included trying to give each soldier a specific job. In order to rebuild the Roman army, the emperor needed to create a legion of soldiers that had the best e quipment and skills. It is easy to see how Hadrian's attempts to make the Roman army more efficient would be a huge boost to morale. Each soldier understands their place in the war. After all, it is their role to fight in the front lines and prevent the enemy from winning the war. It is the army's responsibility to hold the line long enough for the emperor to restore his lost glory. With the emperor's legion, the army was rebuilt through technological advancements. The legions would be equipped with an army of light weapons and armor, allowing them to go into battle more quickly. The Romans were also given horses as mounts for their elite soldiers, allowing them to move faster across the battlefield. If Hadrian's legion had been effective in every battle they fought in, the Roman army would have been more powerful than it is today. Hadrian's army was the beginning of the success that the Roman Empire was known for. This was not simply a legacy of the emperor's career as he tried to re vitalize the Roman military. The return of the Roman empire was one of the most important events in the history of the world. During the times that Hadrian rebuilt the Roman army, he had an even greater legacy, and it began with the first individuals who began the rebirth of the Roman empire. The Roman historian Tacitus was one of these individuals, and he became known as the father of modern history.Hadrian's Legions helped build the modern history of the Roman Empire, and modern history today. A great empire would be a great legacy for the men who founded it, and this legacy can continue into the future.
